Test Drive

Belle and Otto went off for a beach excursion today with Susan and Jennifer and Andrew while I stayed home and continued my computer file sorting process (such strange bliss indeed.)
Prior to leaving for the Party –– now moved to Mill Valley at Val and Clark’s hotel, post-flood –– that Susan organized to welcome them, it seemed wise to test if two Labradors and four humans can travel in comfort in my car.  The answer was … sorta.
In the end, we took Andrew and Jennifer’s car which had a little more room for one dog in the back and off we went.
The party was super-fun and light-hearted and included a round of Guest Appreciation and Susan Appreciation (I can’t say more;  you really had to be there.)
This was followed by a splintering of the party between Italian and Taco restaurants and then a regrouping afterwards.  In the end, to the best of my knowledge, everyone was well-fed.
Home now and continuing the organization process while watching episodes of THE NEW GIRL, partially as an exercise for me to get past my resentment of Zooey Deschanel for how mean she was to JG-L in 500 DAYS OF SUMMER and partially because I think she’s obsessed with having me think she’s so cool and adorably quirky.
[And right now, while I’m completely unsure if it’s her persistence alone that’s wearing me down … it’s kinda working…]

  1. I love that I’m not the only person who is obsessed with what you think about them. And I love that only a group of new age crackpots would ever be partying together and then go to separate restaurants, and then reconvene. So alternative!

    1. That’s what ya gotta do when someone wants/needs tacos and someone else wants pizza! [and FYI, most people are obsessed with what I think about them –– it’s a huge responsibility for me and Belle.]
