Wrapping Up Week One

First week in San Francisco is nearly complete which is unbelievable.  Truly.
Yesterday, I decided to explore Kabuki, a Japanese bathhouse.  Impossible not to compare to my favorite Beverly Hot Springs, though.  I prefer BHS’ deeper pools + the hot water is hotter. Kabuki has the better Steam Room.  BHS also has running water in both the hot and cold pools and I prefer that ambient noise over the quiet and faint zen music.  Plus, Kabuki’s attendant is so omni-present that I felt a little spied on versus the benign neglect of BHS.  It is $8 cheaper — although with $3 parking that’s only $5.  Still in search of the perfect San Francisco soak.

Glorious beach walk with Susan and Val.  At least 2 frisbees get lost at sea on every walk but two miracles happened:  Belle somehow followed directions to one that drifted away from sight and then, the second time it was lost,  it managed to wash back ashore by the time we had turned around to return.  Miraculous and perhaps even metaphoric!
Dinner with Susan at Plant — such a spectacular setting and the food is outrageously healthy and delicious.

Tuesday will be the week anniversary of my arrival here.  I cannot believe it.  I am perpetually amazed at the awesomeness of my new life on Union Street.
