I realized that I’ve taken an unprecedented break from blogging here, but now that our President has been re-elected (Thank God) I’m back in full force.
Since forever whenever I have to give my last name, I end up spelling it with “V as in Victory” and that feels particularly appropriate tonight.
I remember the first Obama Victory. I was in NYC and it felt like utterly magical change was in store for everyone.
This time feels more mature, more grounded, and yet still totally full of promise.
Anyway, last week was a whirlwind with Adrian still here and then a trip to LA to see Patricia Scanlon’s brilliant show (here’s a great review and there are many more).
Lunch at Big Sur on the drive down at the Incredible Post Inn (perhaps the greatest view EVER in a restaurant and/or anywhere).
And we stayed in yet another Magical Cottage (just SEE).
Meetings.
A return to my beloved Beverly Hot Springs and favorite masseur.
Drive back up.
Drop Adrian off at the airport and then theater with Valerie 2 (Elektra with Olympia Dukakis –– I interviewed her once for a book –– which I realize is the exact source material for Revenge on ABC.)
And now a quiet moment with Belle where we celebrate another four years of Obama.
