Stockholm Syndrome

Today I jump roped for 12 minutes and there is honestly not the slightest bit of soreness in my calves … I’ve reached a milestone.
And I am CRAVING Bikram more and more.  I actually cannot wait until tomorrow’s class.
Yesterday, when I went with Val, there was this microscope, super-cute Asian lady who revealed that she goes twice a day, six days a week (and on the Sabbath, only once).  I mean, come on –– is that what’s in store for me?  [Or will Susan insist on an intervention?]
Drove out to Cavallo Point to check out the private room situation for my birthday party and really glad I did.  The specific lady in charge is off until Sunday but at least I know now what I’m negotiating for.
Stopped by an art gallery a friend recommended –– we may have drinks with the owner soon –– and I was stoked to discover that the entire staff fell in love with Belle.  Beyond whether or not the gallery and I are an artistic fit, love of Belle absolutely establishes whether or not I’m able to work with someone.
Sent out the email to my SF friends for the June 5th signing which somehow took longer than I thought.  More steps were involved –– incorporating my growing San Francisco friends into the sub-list + creating the email + creating the paypal links, although the horror is that no one buys the books in advance, so you’re basically gambling on how many to pre-order and have on hand.  (It’s not a tragic situation … just an expensive one.)  It’s all on THE LATEST.
And then hung out with Susan and Belle and the Tates which was delightful and inspiring ….
Oh –– and I decided today to just trim my own hair even further (knowing the buzz cut was always a possibility if I flailed around too much) and Val immediately noticed and compliment it (and insisted on putting product in.)  Here’s to taking matters into one’s own hands!
The other weird thing is that my producer Sarah has no notes on the script –– she’s showing it to two trusted allies for opinions –– so it’s strange not to have the same mammoth task that’s been in front of me for months anymore (at least for now.)   What’s going to fill that gap of cutting pages and scenes unless it’s just more exercise?
And while I think I have only one Bikram class planned for each day this weekend …  given my Stockholm Syndrome with my new regime … Who can say for sure?
So if you need me, basically you’ll find me sweating somewhere … just look!
