Belle and I drove from LA up to SF in one blissful journey. Traffic was cooperative. The city was gorgeous and covered by fog. Dinner with Susan (aka SARK) as we settled into the Magic Cottage.
While waiting for Susan to return from her haircut, I was outside. This lovely lady parked in front overheard my conversation and asked if I wanted her parking space for my friend (it can be a challenge on Telegraph Hill). She was nice enough to wait five minutes for Susan to arrive in order to give us her spot.
This is how it’s going to be in SF: helpful strangers appearing out of thin air.
Our new life has begun!
