Serenity, Sand, Live Worms, and a Baby!

So stressful — even though it was triumphant — to watch Jeremiah’s decorating challenge on RZ.  I understand that the show (all entertainment, in fact) deals with tension, but the manufactured, impossible obstacles nature of this challenge struck home for someone recently off a decorating deadline or two.

Surprise, last minute subbing again for Jasmine at the Lotus –– including a visiting first-time private who cancelled last minute, which sent Belle and me and Susan straight for the beach.

A particularly beautiful and warm day, including Belle interacting with a large live crab for a moment on the seashore.  Should have taken a pic but too fast and potentially scary a moment with a curious Belle and an unhappy crab.

Off to the Lotus where my demonstration of a little tricky inversion/arm balance combo was completely diverted by cascades of beach sand still caught in the cuffs of my trousers falling down into my eyes.   Amazingly delightful to have a (pregnant!) Taniya in class again and a lovely Michael reunion.

Another delicious dinner, breathtakingly beautiful dinner at Plant with Susan by the seashore.

Grand finale:  Yofe, Susan, Belle and me taking in the gallery opening at Live Worms.

Mostly, to be honest, just trying to marginally as serene as Belle amongst all the adventures and uncertainties.

And FANTASTIC NEWS.  My wonderful friends Tamer and Katey (I can pat myself on the back as the nexus between them) had a son late last night, Hudson Eli Hassan.

Tamer started work for me on a documentary project that never happened but was so awesome he ended up associate producing Miracle in Rwanda and more.  He even lived with me for at least six months (maybe longer) back in my old Chinatown loft.

Katey I knew from the yoga world and she model for more than one event for me for Yoga In Bed and is an absolute delight.

So unbelievably happy for them — and can’t wait to meet the little guy in person!
