It’s weird that tomorrow my novel DOWNWARD DOG will suddenly be available on Amazon (and everywhere else). (Note: weird AND great.)
But weird perhaps for no reason other than it feels like so much work has gone into launching the book … and yet I’m not sure exactly what has happened / is happening.
When I’m in production mode for film or theater, it always feels like so much transpires in a single day that it becomes a blur, one that’s almost beyond time. You find yourself saying, “Wait a minute –– did that really happen THIS morning?” because it feels like weeks ago.
I feel the same about all the efforts for the DOWNWARD launch, and particularly so, because it’s almost entirely virtual.
It’s not like there’s a stage set that was constructed or that there’s stacks of books on a table, ready to be autographed.
And I do realize I did make a video book trailer that folks seem to think is rather sensational.
But mostly there’s just lots of email blasts going out … and online reviews … and newsletters … and facebook postings … and tweets …
IE, nothing I can really touch or even see (unless I open up my laptop) …
And yet …
It does feel like SOMETHING MAJOR is about to happen (I guess).
We shall see….
