Today I fully realized that things have expanded so in my life that I can’t just rely on “it’ll all work out” as a scheduling strategy.
I am a master scheduler, having lived for many years in NYC via private yoga clients, and now scheduling my creative ones (across three continents and five coasts).
But what I’ve realized is that I have to start scheduling the non-client appointments for work and play and everything else.
I thought last week I’d find the moments to read a client’s book (something I actually wanted to do this the previous draft was already terrific) but it slipped by.
There are just too many moving parts –– and while that means I have to rely more on Alignment and LOA to manage things, still … what it also means it that I have to schedule EVERYTHING.
So today, after a wonderful Cavallo brunch with my yoga teacher friend Jennifer from Bikram and F.B. Viola –– whose new book you’ll be hearing a lot about –- and a visit to the hot springs, I sat down and for literally 4 hours alternated between physically cleaning things and cleaning up my to do lists and schedule for the week.
And, perhaps most importantly, I’ve figured out how to take it from a massively unwieldy master list to something intense yet manageable.
And with that as that start of the week … We’re Off!
