Miracle Cure – Platza

Whatever you believe is the source behind my cold –– Abraham’s lofty belief that my body hasn’t caught up with my new higher vibration; or sick building disease re: the AC in Cancun;  or just stress behind moving and a new book release;  or good, old-fashioned germs –– one thing is for sure:
Getting the Platza treatment yesterday at the dingy and great Russian Turkish Baths pretty much cured me instantly.
Here is how their own website describes the treatment:

Lie down while in the Russian Room and a platza specialist will scrub you (actually beat you) with a broom made of fresh oak leaves, sopping with olive oil soap. The oak leaves contain a natural astringent, which will open your pours, remove toxins, and actually take off layers of dead skin. Some described the platza as “Jewish acupuncture.”

The whole facility is super-no frills and the staff is constantly peddling a new treatment or a “just for you discount” on services –– but I loved it.
Honestly, for the first time in 10 days, I feel like my voice is coming back.
And quite frankly, since I combined the Platza with a Mud Bath, I have never, ever, in my entire life been quite this clean.
(If you have a chance to hug or smell me right now, you really, really should.)
