Metaphysical Whiplash (aka Happy 2014)

Mid-afternoon on December 31st, I played a game of Transformation with two very beautiful ladies who are two of my dearest friends — Broadway star Cristy Candler and writer/poet/yogi Sarah Herrington — and a wonderful photographer I’d just met.

Towards the end of the game, I got these 2 cards one after another.

Basically, as part of someone else’s turn, I received:
MOVE STRAIGHT UP TO THE NEXT LEVEL NOW!

Then, immediately afterwards, on my own turn, I rolled the dice and got:

DROP BACK ONE LEVEL NOW

And on my next turn, I moved right back up again …

TALK ABOUT METAPHYSICAL WHIPLASH!

Yet ultimately it seemed like perfectly fitting closure for 2013, the year I moved back to NYC — returning to my roots — but on a whole new level:

Everything’s exactly the same
and everything’s totally different.

On this New Year’s Day, I’m particularly re-remembering T.S. Eliot’s wisdom:

Even now as I’m planning endless 2014 new adventures — a June yoga retreat to Mykonos … casting the movie version of DOWNWARD — I’m realizing again:

Transformation isn’t about becoming
a completely new person.
It’s about truly becoming
the person you’ve always been.

Wishing you the Best of Everything in the New Year,

P.S.  I’m starting a new weekly 2014 tradition:  TRANSFORMATION TUESDAYS.

I’m offering two FREE 20 minute Creative Consults each week to give back in appreciation

and to assist however I can with making

your creative dreams come true.
