I find this picture –– part of a series of 33 Most Beautiful Abandoned Places –– quite haunting.
It’s even more compelling that it has since sunk into the ocean.
Yesterday I saw a terrific possible sublet situation (although a little too expensive) and awoke to find an email saying that the owners had now realized that they didn’t think a dog would work in the space.
I don’t regret that possibility evaporating –– there are many more, although I’m trusting it will more or less come to me –– but still … there’s something a little sad each time one of them sinks into the ocean, although rarely as beautiful as this one.
