Every Earthquake Has Its Lessons

So many projects today.
I’ve never stretched any of my canvases before –– I just sent them to my amazing, top secret Chinatown place –– but now that I have four poster-sized ones to stretch for January 3rd, it’s time I learned (the 2 much larger ones I’m thrilled to say are being hung by the facilities physical plant services;  I suggested putting them on the wall with thumb tacks but apparently they are concerned about “security.”)
So today, Adrian, Belle and I went to Artists and Craftsmen and got all the stuff necessary for us to do a practice round tomorrow and then attempt it on the four “real” canvases afterwards.
A trip to Corte Madera to order furniture for LLS, which dovetailed nicely with our Boxing Day brunch at the home of one of my godchildren in Mill Valley.  Belle was exceptionally well-behaved considering she spent about 45 minutes with me standing in front of a platter of ham (I was less well-behaved re: the ham).
And now –- before I write just a little bit more of the new play –– we’ve finished our action movie du jour (National Treasure, which I’d never seen) –– and a wonderful episode of UP TO SPEED that I felt double-affinity for since it’s both San Francisco based and I first discovered Speed when The Cruise was making its round at festivals along with my first feature.
