That’s how I always feel after any big PR thing, and even though yesterday’s Video Party was all about Susan and her work (and of course, Belle), I did feel that mix of being both very revved up/wired afterwards and also deeply exhausted.
And in typical fashion, although I was totally wiped out, I didn’t get much sleep –– even running into the guy who was supposed to come at 9am to trim the trees at 8:15 while walking Belle.
My client calls were great although I did do something I’ve never done before: I was accidentally 20 minutes late for one because I was napping. I somehow did not hit “start” on my iPhone after selecting the alarm and so I kept on sleeping. [Note: nap strategically scheduled to coincide with tree trimmer’s stopping to watch Playoffs before first client call.]
It worked out totally fine since I’d budgeted enough time between calls, although I am seriously considering just stopping work NOW and watching silly TV for the rest of the night.
