Anyone who knows me, knows I love cupcakes.
Directly underneath my writing office there’s a tiny storefront –– not even that really, it’s like a booth with two shutters –– which seems to have no set hours and which sells ONLY cupcakes.  (And I mean the “only” as “exclusively” not “merely” since, let’s face it, nothing is greater than a cupcake.)  Check out their awesome website.
Today was one of those magical days where they were open and I bought the requisite four mini-cupcakes in a box and had them all for lunch, savoring everything about them, particularly their EDIBLE GLITTER.
It is so awesome when things are beautiful on multiple levels, in this case taste, smell, and appearance.
Last night we successfully completed hooking up Susan’s TiVo in time for the ANTM finale.  There was something deeply disconcerting about it all though because in the last ten minutes they revealed almost as an aside that one of the three finalists had been mysteriously eliminated for breaking a rule of the contest, without ever specifying what rule exactly.  Somehow, it left one feeling particularly unsatisfied.  Everything felt makeshift and tagged on and  incomplete.   (Oh, Tyra, please find a way to make this better for us all…)
Despite the Tyra controversy, I have hope that things are still looking up because coming back from a bathroom break, I returned to see that Belle had taken my place in my chair.  Seriously.
For five minutes she just sat there, totally ready and willing to help (and even pose for photos.)
Since we both want a life full of Edible Glitter, frankly, I think this is only fair.
