Back to Basics

Specifically, I returned to Bikram today for a $29 one month membership –– you can’t beat that deal; it’s $1 a class –– as part of my massive fitness regime.
I have major feelings about Bikram –– in fact I’m writing a blog for Andrea’s YOGA JUNKIE site tomorrow –– but I am 100% convinced that tons of Bikram is the perfect balance for all else I’m doing, given my fitness goals and deadlines.
And interestingly, the studio is super-close to home and is, in fact, the very first United States studio Bikram (the dude twisting back in the days of black and white) established.
In other news …
Have decided to have another reading of the script on Monday, mostly to inspire myself to finish this rewrite.
Dinner with Susan and Belle at PLANT where I went pure paleo in my diet.
And amused that my subconscious distraction strategy was that it only tricked me by having me run out of paper the second I started printing last night’s revisions.  Ran to Staples and returned only to find out that 3 pages later I was out of ink.  Ran to Staples again but decided after getting ink that if Belle was going to wait while I took Bikram, she deserved a beach walk first.
All of it worked out perfectly.
And on this Scorpio moon, I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing it is that my fitness regime is kicking in and … I’m under 120 pages.  (I honestly don’t know which slimming makes me happier).
