First day in SF.  Woke up in the magical cottage feeling ready for my new life — which seems like a nice extension of my old life (which was pretty great to begin with.)
Susan (aka SARK) had photo and video shoots scheduled for her new teaching products and it was really fun for Belle and me to be present and help out where we could (mostly just a trip or two of lugging some lighting equipment up the stairs.)

Having just left LA filming our promo videos, it was an effortless transition to be present for Susan’s video extravaganza.
The only person thrashing my San Francisco groove is Oliver at the UPS Store.  He LOVES following the rules and when I asked if he could check if my friend had any mail — the friend who went into the store to say I’d be calling for a mailbox — told me with relish that that was illegal.  Although I was about to question where and when he went to law school, I let it go.  One conformist in San Francisco may be necessary for cosmic balance.
And after necessary nap and a little personal practice — and the profound realization that I have no teaching yoga outfits, just sweat pants to take class–  I went off to the Laughing Lotus where I taught my first SF yoga class.
A lovely lady named Ashley introduced herself and told me that I was her first LL teacher a few years ago in NYC and that I “kicked her ass.”  In some ways, that is the supreme yoga compliment.
Then sweet reunion with the awesome Emily Stone who’s in town teaching for Jasmine.   And then Keith — so much fun seeing great people on other coasts!
Loved teaching at the Laughing Lotus very much. The studio is beautiful and vibrant and the students were both sweet and fluent in the LL style we all love.   And having taught an All Level 1:15 class, it was the perfect easing of myself back into the vibe.   Fortunately, I can still remember a few poses — although for Saturday’s Level 2/3 I may need to recall a few more!
Perfect ending to the day:  walkable Mexican restaurant with fantastic food and charming service (especially for someone with a service dog.)
