And today, when we were totally unable to find a cab (at rush hour) (in the rain) (from the UWS) Belle took her first subway ride.
She was, of course, perfection –– and she has flown across country 7 times in the last two years so in some ways it was No Big Deal.
Still, it was her first introduction to subterranean life in Manhattan.
The day began (of course) with a mini-conference with my Publisher’s publicity director.
There was lots of good news on all fronts but mostly it was about figuring out which schemes to execute when etc.
A solid nap and then a great client call.
And then my plan to walk downtown was thwarted by the rain.
And now, sharing as we are wont to do the remains of an earlier roast chicken together, Belle and I are about to call it a night.
[I’m just hoping this new adventure doesn’t lead her to a life of demanding endless underground Joy Rides.]
DOWNWARD DOG, indeed!
