There’s a much better –– or at least longer –– blog post I want to write about this topic but I’m keeping it brief since I only have 2 more episodes left of the first seasons of DAMAGES and I must complete before Alaska.
On our awesome telecall this week, one caller brought up the idea of the labyrinth as a metaphor for our journey while waiting, which is something I’d never quite conceptualized in that way. I’ve always found labyrinths appealing and have done numerous meditation walks with them, but seeing how we slowly weave our way towards the center but are forced to take all sorts of turns and even complete reverses –– and moments where we seem tantalizingly close to the central destination –– is something I’ve never explored as a metaphor for our life paths. (Note: I’m sure everyone else has thought about this, but I just never have with any intensity.)
And as soon as I get through the final two episodes of DAMAGES, I plan on meditating on this quite a bit.
(First things first, after all.)
