At least in my Bikram class.
More and more, I’m fully compliant and after a decade at the Laughing Lotus, where the unofficial motto was “move like yourself,” I’ve simply acquiesced to doing everything the way the Birkam folks want me to do them.
I like extending out in Janu but they want me compressing myself –– well, so be it.
On the other hand, arriving home and post nap, I completely did things MY WAY in terms of lightning-fast career expansions.
I had a great career brainstorm meeting with Val which helped reiterate what I should be prioritizing, plus her strong opinions helped shape the mass email that’s going out tomorrow about my summer breakthrough coaching program.
And in a flurry of activity, I revamped the Creative Guru page on this site after shooting and editing a short video, creating two forms, and writing the mass email itself. Lots of Skyping with my WordPress guy for the stuff that’s a bit beyond me –– so much easier than mastering every nuance of WP –– that worked like magic to complete things.
Then WONDERFUL dinner with Susan and Belle at Hillstone, followed by rooftop fireworks with Val, Clark and Jonah rejoining before the finale (which turned out not to be that much of a finale after all).
Tomorrow, planning on 9 am Bikram (it’s the only class offering of the day) and wondering if my breathing nemesis will be there again (she was today.) What’s really weird is that she always leaves 10 minutes early during the week –– I like to imagine divergent scenarios about where she’s going –– but she did that today as well, on a Sunday over a holiday weekend.
Where is she so needing to be on Sunday at 10:20 in the morning? Are there more people urgently in need of her critiques for doing things HER way?
Who can say … But whoever’s way I’m doing things, right now they definitely seem to be working perfectly.
