Enjoyed awesome morning meditation and then crafted one scene for the new play and then some rolling around on the floor for yoga practice.
Subbed at the Lotus where Jasmine took my class. LOVED teaching –– it is so wonderful to have a receptive, capable, groovy crowd –– and afterwards over coffee Jasmine has me officially on the schedule, starting with taking over her Monday Level 2/3 at 4:30. Spectacular beach walk with Susan and Belle.
Intense few hours exploring video email formats before realizing that Constant Comment was simplest, cheapest and best for all my needs.
Then a reunion drink which turned into dinner with Brian Backus, whose company Kidlandia is genius, joined by his friend Mike. I loved the time although it was freaky that I haven’t seen BB since grad school 17 years ago.
Although Brian is one of the most curious people I know, somehow he had never googled me or gone to my websites even after we’d set up our reunion. So while I knew all about his company and kids via the interweb, I was having to summarize the last near 2 decades. This morning I realized all the things we hadn’t discussed, like say the two feature films I directed or my gallery shows. Barely time to get in the new books and Belle.
Mostly it was shocking to have someone unfamiliar with Belle and not yet in her fan-base.
I guess this is how celebrities feel when they aren’t recognized … like, maybe on Mars!
