My worldview is in a very fragile state. I cannot honestly decide if Tyra Banks is a genius or a lunatic (I guess those are not mutually exclusive propositions but …)
Just look at this article about Modelland. Is Tyra working on a super-human/super-model plane heretofore unknown? [Tyra directed a video editorial for the book on last night’s penultimate ANTM.]
I scoffed at first but then thought may she’s outdoing Neil Gaimon and Francesca Lia Bloch combined (both of whom I love). Is “My Secret Agent Lover Man” a better or worse character name than “Tookie De La Creme?” Is Tyra a fantasy novel genius or just a Master Marketer gone berserk? Will I actually pick up a copy of the book or just decide my opinion in the abstract?
Perhaps these issues were also tormenting Belle when she woke me up at 2 am for a stroll … (although she seems beyond blissful, just what is going on with her schedule?)
This has been a morning of parking MIRACLES, however, and I think that bodes auspiciously well since Susan is giving a TED talk this afternoon. [It’s all kinda a done deal in that her hair looks awesome, and THAT is what really makes or breaks an inspirational speaker.]
And now –– time to sneak in a brief nap so I can be fresh to be fully transformed by Susan and/or further tormented by Tyra.
