Tomorrow is Another Day

Tomorrow is Another Day was the first title Margaret Mitchell had for Gone With The Wind.  Other proposed titles include Bugles Sang True, Not in Our Stars, and Tote the Weary Load.
My friend Sarah posted today on The Face Place that it was her birthday (she was born in 1900) and I found myself compelled to do a few googles to learn more about her authorial path.
It also seems quite fitting in that today I decided that my beach shoes needed a proper send-off.
They were a spare pairs of sneakers –– not my jump rope ones –– but frankly they never quite dried out and I felt it was unfair to other patrons to wash them at the laundromat.  Like Lady Macbeth –– except with sand not blood –– I realized I could never get them clean again.
I’m much better off with endless pairs of canvas Plimsoll sneakers from Urban Outfitters, ones I can pop into the washer/dryer without causing a ruckus or rendering the machines too soiled for the next customer.
No more Tote The Weary Lode … Tomorrow is Another Day:
