It was an utterly perfect day weather-wise in San Francisco, but my horoscope on Astro.com was dead on:

Buried Tensions **
Be extremely careful of your tendency toward moody irritability at this time. You are very subject to outbreaks of irrational and compulsive behavior that will not serve your best interests. You may find yourself snapping at someone for almost no reason.

And it’s true –– I was even cranky at the beach with Belle in the morning because she was so happy and exuberant and I was not.  Her springy joy is usually enough to kick my mood up a notch or two but I was so far away from her euphoria, all her delight just made me moodier and crankier (sigh…)
I really saw Law of Attraction in action (sadly, in a negative way), in that left unattended my tailspin kept getting worse and worse.  NOT GOOD!
The key for me though was sorta towards the end of the day, I realized that this really was really and truly entirely an issue of perspective  (I was so embroiled in it that it felt like “absolute truth”) and that was actually the turning point.
It got even better when I read some more of new friend Amy Ahlers’ sensational new book BIG FAT LIES WOMEN TELL THEMSELVES.

She writes about Inner Mean Girls and I don’t really have one of them exactly (ie, I am a boy).  But I do have an Inner Bully or two.  I had fun playing with some of the exercises –– like naming/remembering/identifying the particular Bully Voices etc.
[I do have one potential lie in my head that I don’t think Amy covers –– I may have to consult with her during our lunch next week and/or perhaps it’s fuel for the sequel.]
The biggest take-away by far was that really I should NOT get out of bed under any circumstances until I’ve cleaned up my mood.  Well, maybe just to exercise since that always helps.
Even it requires 5 baths and 3 meditations and 20 minutes in headstand it’s infinitely worth it.  I’ve proven to myself once and for all nothing is worth doing unless you’ve gotten yourself into Alignment first.
[Oh and I almost forgot this –– the top picture is one I took on Friday of a group of tourists taking pictures of the view from Crissy Field;  ie, I live in a place and take Belle to another place where people come from all around the world to snap photos of –– that’s worth remembering.]
