Some Seriously Bad Choices

I segued back to work today –– more or less –– with 2 client calls and sending out my first 20 Xmas cards.   (If you’d like one, just let me know.)
I also took plenty of time to rest and relax and part of that –– besides all my usual shows on Hulu –– included watching DOUBLE JEOPARDY starring Ashley Judd for the first time.
[Be easy on me –– I’m still recovering from General Anesthesia and having an organ yanked out.]
What is mind-blowing about this movie is that she never, ever, for one single second (including the six years she spends in prison for a crime she did not commit) has the thought “Why is this happening to me?”
From the first 3 minutes it’s obvious she’s married a psychopath and yet not only is there no responsibility for that (not even a “What the hell was I thinking?”) there’s not even a questioning.
Oh, Mass Consciousness –– I love you but there’s so much more ahead, I almost can’t stand it.
[And as an aside, before and after surgery, I read Stephen King’s ON WRITING and I have to say that there really is just something so nutritious (well, maybe satisfying) about a juicy plot–– no matter however implausible, overwrought, or … in this case … insane.]
