Somehow it came at an inconvenient time -– and I thought it might be too intense for any mood I was in –– but I avoided SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE when it came out, saving it for the right moment.
And that was tonight … and it was GENIUS.
And it felt like the story of my life.
UNBELIEVABLY GREAT and moving …
And finally –– say what you will….(bear with 24 seconds of Hulu ads) … and just as the end of SLUMDOG has a huge Bollywood number, where everything ends in dance –– and although we don’t really do that in America, I am still reminded of the end of Shanley’s ITALIAN AMERICAN RECONCILIATION when Nessun Dorma from Turandot plays and the script just says something “The Music … The Music!” ––
Anyway, after GOING UNDER THE KNIFE, and feeling so much love and concern from those in my life, I want a Bollywood moment …
And it feels like Jimmy Fallon is offering me one here with Mariah.

Yay, glad you’re feeling better! And I agree, Slumdog Millionaire is fantastic. Story of your life? Interesting. Now you make me want to watch it again. Sounds like you’re having a cozy recuperation.
Thank you, Ellen. Well … maybe the story of my PAST life, I think! Just struck so many chords –– and themes –– both personal and universal. And even the rain is helping with my resting/nesting period. Speak to you soon, though!
