Let’s face it: Seasons two of Damages was getting me down.
William Hurt is a fine actor (obviously) but somehow his whole mid-life depressive thing is just such a downer, I couldn’t continue.
And yet … there was enough going on that I decided to forgo several episodes and cut to the finale.
And let’s just say –– without giving away any spoilers –– Timothy Olyphant delivers.
My inspiration renewed, I’ve started Season 3 of DAMAGES and thus far, it’s AMAZING. [Perhaps Seasons 2 was just a sophomore slump –– intelligent, well-crafted, but … BORING (except for Olyphant).]
Speaking of SEXY … My minor MINI problem –– perhaps incurred during transport –– was resolved today FREE OF CHARGE (as per the awesome BMW extended warranty) with a drop-by, no appointment visit at BMW in Marin. [SF BMW is still a little too over-confident for my taste, whereas Marin was as down-to-earth as you want a luxury car dealer to be.]
My sweet ride restored, Belle and I returned home and then took our first beach outing in the MINI where I had to accept the fact that a little sand in the trunk is simply part of living for a man whose dog lives to swim and chase sticks on the beach (daily). I am also VERY appreciative that I now have Cherry, the come-to-your-home/parking spot service that will clean and vacuum my car per the interweb without my being present.
I am now deep into episode 2, season 3 of DAMAGES and wondering why they haven’t address Timothy Olphant’s non-existence yet (a quick google reveals he’s in the finale).
But honestly, how DAMAGED is Rose Byrne’s character that she’s letting this guy go without explanation after more than once saving her life?
After all, sexy is as sexy does ….
