After my plateau, I made great strides in my Lumosity scores today + I am proud to say (and did say on my secret Tumblr blog) that I’m down 0.7% in body fat, too.
However, in one newer game Koi Pond where you have to feed each fish a pellet with a three second delay between each feeding (note:  the fish are swimming all around, hence the challenge) I find that I consistently can feed six fish but the seventh one eludes me each time.   I’m able to more or less successfully keep my eye on them all except for the very last one, that slippery seventh fish.
I know I’ll get better at this game as I do all the others, but somehow this one felt less abstract that all the word games and puzzle pieces.
And I suppose it feels more personal since it’s dealing with something quite simple in theory:  feeding seven fish.
(I wonder if parents ever feel that way:  “We were fine until that fourth kid came along…”)
Anyway, things were explosively alive today as I worked with clients and planned the book trailer shoot and my trip to Cancun and future move.
So for today at least, it felt like I was feeding only six fish and they were all doing just fine.
