Here was Belle’s day today.
Waking at 6 and allowing me to putter with things like meditation/alignment.
Beach walk at 7:30 where she passionately swam and chased sticks in the ocean for 45 minutes.
Supervising a photoshoot I volunteered to do for my friend Rhiannon. [At one point, when the sun was in her eyes, I automatically repeated a Tyra phrase without thinking, “Well, you’ve just got to model through.”]
1.5 hour nap with me.
Quiet time alone while I went off to Bikram for Mandy’s class, who surprised us all with her engagement ring from that morning. [Belle stayed with Mandy and her now-fiancée while i was in NYC two weeks ago.] Oddly, three or more dudes in town for the Marathon were there, one of whom admitted “This is so much harder than the marathon…I mean, nowadays we can run in our sleep.”
Drive to surprise party for Mandy –– she’s leaving in a week for a grad program –– with my Bikram teacher friend Jennifer.
And at the party … Belle just demonstrated EVERYTHING about the Law of Attraction.
She is perfectly behaved at this kind of thing, of course, but radiated her love of food and people. She was super chill and just let those who wanted to come to her, to come.
And then the Bikram center’s owner Bev’s husband Daryl arrived with a platter of ribs and well …
I had one, just to give Belle the bone to work on.
But then as we hung out in the kitchen with Jennifer, Belle began silently and almost imperceptibly working her magic on the small crowd.
Soon, when someone brought in a plate and dumped their rib bone into the trash, five people literally exclaimed as one “No wait –– Belle could have that bone.”
And then it happened four or five more times.
Belle basically just sat there, devouring bones that her new fan club produced for her, effortlessly attracting to herself EVERYTHING she wanted.
Honestly, I think I’ve learned all there is to learn about LOA from her (again) tonight.
Thank you Belle for showing me how to “Model Through.”
