This morning I awoke, walked Belle, had a half-glass of champagne and some chocolate covered blueberries (left over from last night), had a fantastic 10 am new client call, and then posted my David Neagle vs. Abraham-Hicks essay for my private Face Place Mastermind group (to which they were actually nicely receptive.)
I realized that Belle needed a beach walk and so I texted SK(W) and JW(K) and he was free, so we took our first beachwalk together with Belle on his birthday –– it’s kinda like the ultimate gift of shared joy.
Returning home, I burrowed in and read through a client’s AMAZINGLY GOOD draft of her memoir –– again, I feel I may be doing too good a job with clients as they keep finishing work in record time -– and then a lovely, small b’day gather for JW(K) at Ana Mandara (which as a total aside, is owned by Don Johnson of Miami Vice, who’s the half-uncle-in-law of one of my godchildren.)
Birthday highlights included Belle burrowing deep under the coffee table, Val showing up after volleyball practice, Clark doing a spontaneous sketch, and Jonah giving me, yet again, one of the all-time, never-let-go, twirl-me-around Best Hugs Ever.
(And of course, cake and crème brûlée …and then a second order of each.)

Not just too good a job, Edward. Too spectacular for words! Slow it down, I beg you. I’m blinding myself with brilliance! Haha! Seriously, you are bringing out the best in me.
You are beyond delightful –– and your book is AMAZING: poetic, sensual, and utterly human. I cannot wait until the Next Steps and its next, inevitable successes!
