This morning, taught a yoga private (which turned into something else –– but valuable), and then returned to wake up Adrian (with Belle, the co-presidents of “The Sleep The Day Away Club”) and then journeyed to Sam Flax to figure out the frame situation for the 9 drawings for my show at Cavallo.
We realized eventually for the 3 largest drawings we would have to cross the street to visit Fast Frame where their computer machine cut the matting down to the millimeter for our custom drawings.
And then a sushi lunch during where we got an urgent call from the curator and realized that one canvas we thought could simply be hung also needed to be stretched.
So we retrieved it across the Golden Gate Bridge, and bought the stretchers at Artists and Craftsmen, and then returned home.
And then realized we forgot those little screw-in things and the wire in the back and returned to Artists and Craftsmen.
And then we framed the 9 drawings. [During which and meanwhile, we watched SPEED –– Adrian had never seen it –– and THE WEDDING PLANNER (a masterpiece).]
And Adrian revealed he had a terrible head cold….
And if he makes it through the night, we will return to Cavallo at 9 am to stretch the last 7 foot canvas and …
We will be done (before I whisk him to the airport for his return flight at 2pm).
Pray for us, America. Pray for us!
