Those are what the Kimochi (“a toy with feelings inside”) Octopus called Huggtopus has for feelings: Happy, Silly, Frustrated. And if you’re having trouble sharing your feelings, you can just indicate them with those little guys.
And that’s what Val and her parents gave me when they stopped by to visit me at the hospital today after yesterday’s emergency appendectomy.
And I am too exhausted (which oddly, apparently Hoggtopus does not feel) to write any more about the whole experience except to say that it was amazing and that Susan and John and all my friends were so unbelievably sweet and supportive and I am just so grateful to be back at home and crawling into bed…(with Huggtopus.)
