I loved the off-Broadway show Full Gallop about Diana Vreeland, and saw it several times.  [Here’s another review.]
Somehow that phrase — “Full Gallop” –– feels very apt for all that happened today, and how quickly things are moving forward.
Awoke to several LLS messages about coordinating things for my B’day party –– and can’t wait to see her and Philip again.
First order of business:  giving Rhiannon the DVDs of YOGA FOR SUITS so she can offer them to the folks at tomorrow’s Yale Club workshop –– one I initiated but realize I’m way too busy to prepare and teach tomorrow.
Those paint colors in the photo are at the Val and Clark’s which I swung by to inspect since my end of next week activity is re-painting a bedroom and the hallway.
I felt Belle totally deserved a beach walk and so that happened, in just enough time for to get home for my terrific client call.
More script work, which I think is going quite well, although it somehow feels hard to tell.
I did like two funny bits I added which simply solved a problem in the beginning, and late last night I drastically truncated a five page scene to 1/4 of a page towards the end that I think really helps.
Bikram –– still relatively easier thanks to day 2 of the juice cleanse.
The studio’s added a digital scale in the bathroom and it turns out that Jennifer (who teaches there) and I both weighed exactly 3 pounds more BEFORE class than AFTER.  [Can you really sweat away 3 pounds in 90 minutes?]
Group dinner with Val’s parents [and Susan and Val and Jonah] with an amazing and unpredicted conversation with Ben, Val’s Dad, about his intuitive guidance for me.  [Still both amused and digesting it all.]  NOTE:  Yes, I am on a juice cleanse, but I have no problem having a half-glass of wine as part of it.
Then, Susan, Belle and I swung by to meet up with Amy Ahlers and crew who were having dinner at a Peruvian restaurant La Mar just past Plant that really impressed.  [This provided Belle’s second steak bone for the night.]
And then a walk home where Belle, like the cast of FRIENDS,  plunged into a fountain and frolicked –– I let her –– and swam around a bit, Service Dog outfit and all.
And now, I’m making an early night of it, since tomorrow I am determined to tackle the remaining rewrite issues head on –– especially given that Tuesday I have a call with my book agent about the tweaks in the manuscript before that gets submitted to the Universe.
Full Gallop!
