Enormous Changes at the Last Minute

Well, almost.
Yesterday afternoon, I got a message saying that the Simone Dinnerstein concert was postponed because of illness.  Unfortunately, it’s now happening when Susan is teaching in Hawaii so everything must be re-conceived.
And all day long I have been re-conceiving the novel as screenplay, with even more enormous changes.
Two and a half pages of description become, quite literally, “a spectacular apartment.”  [The set designer has to do some work, after all.]
And as tempting as it is to direct from the page, tons and tons of novelistic inner monologue is swept aside so that Our Star can emote away.
And –– on another level of reconception entirely –- passionately obsessed with my 11 hours of self-actualization materials that are GENIUS.  In fact, they are making me completely examine EVERYTHING around money in my life.
Including –– but not limited to –– several requests for my old DVD for YOGA IN BED are causing me to reconsider what might be re-marketed or revised (Thank You, Dan).  In any case,
Other highlights:
My diet today has been my most stellar yet:
Coffee at Acre
A green juice
4 mini-cupcakes for lunch
An apple snack
Organic quinoa with vegetables and shrimp at Plant
And now some scotch while writing
Workout:
7 minute headstand
1:30 handstand
1 minute forearm stand
12 dropbacks
And — can I just share that I LOVE the Dinnerstein recording of the G flat major Schubert Impromptu –– which should have been played right about now –– but may I also extoll the Horowitz.  It’s astonishing to watch how simple and small and controlled his hand movements are, despite the enormous, resonant sound he creates.  If you watch his hands with the sound off, it’s like NOTHING is happening (when everything is happening).
And I love the full 27 seconds of adjusting his tie and seat and hands before he begins.
AMAZING (even with some weird synch glitch where everything is off by about 1.5 seconds).
