Don’t Be TOO Jealous

Today, Val called for a spontaneous pedicure and I sped off to meet her, to be joined by Jonah (age 8) for the three of us to get our nails painted.
Jonah got your basic black rocker nails;  Val got a sky blue that was perfect for her newly painted bedroom;  and I got an ASTONISHING sparkling blue/silver/gold mix that is truly revolutionary.
I am having a bit of trouble swinging back into action.  With my birthday on Monday being so amazing, and then Tuesday driving twice to the airport and saying goodbye to Dan and then Adrian, and then Wednesday actually being a national holiday … Thursday just seemed like a phone-it-in kind of situation.  [Although I did have one brief client call that rocked.]
Dinner tonight with Susan and LLS and Belle at Plant which was picture perfect (except that the manager Sean was off and so Belle did not get her expected gift of chicken from the kitchen).
And now home to finish off the last season of Larry Sanders in preparation for my work week starting tomorrow … which is, ah, er … apparently Friday.
What can I say … It’s exactly that kind of week!
