Have felt weirdly spaced out tonight and wondered why and the most likely cause I think is that I’ve gone a little too deep into technology over-drive today.
It wasn’t all the emails or texts or phone calls.
Nor was it the Skype instant message session with my tech guy in Georgia while getting other messages from someone in London.
It was the combination of my first Skype yoga –– which actually didn’t work well enough weirdly so we switched to Face Time on our respective iPhones/iPads –– with a new client who’s in Hong Kong for a spell … followed by my first ever telecall testing session with Joshua Home Edwards via Maestro.
Maestro is awesome. People register and get specific pin numbers and then the leaders can not only see exactly who’s on the call but also have tons of interactive features ranging from taking polls to grouping people into small group discussions. It was really fun and kind of mind-blowing to think about all the possibilities of interacting with large audiences around the world so effectively and creatively.
Somehow though, all the nearly simultaneously instant communication across the U.S., Europe, and Asia … has left me a little … distracted.
And thus watched a documentary short on HBO about Dolores Hart who co-starred in two Elvis movies and then became a nun nearly 50 years ago entitled GOD IS BIGGER THAN ELVIS –– which is definitely true, no matter how you slice it –– wondering just which 20 year-old starlet of today is destined for the convent.
I mean is Mila Kunis going to be taking the veil as a Bride of Christ anytime soon?
