Best Wedding Weekend Ever

Yesterday I tried to blog from my phone because I decided to leave my laptop in NYC with Nicky’s doorman before heading off the the wedding Upstate.  That, however, proved to be impossible … and so I missed a day.
There’s much to relate but basically the wedding was GORGEOUS –– Katey looked stunning, Tamer is my total HERO, and little Hudson is beyond adorable.
So much to say but I found seeing both of them intensely moving and I was given proper credit for being the person who more or less brought them together, resulting in both the wedding and baby Hudson.
And then I returned to the city for a surprising and enchanting drink upon exiting the train with Valerie 2 and her great mother Jill in Grand Central –– a surprise because until an hour before I didn’t know they were actually in NYC and leaving an hour after my train arrived so PERFECT timing.
They are so super-cute:
And then off to meet my old Loft-Mate and fantastic friend Gro and HER new baby, neither of whom I’ve seen in a year + since she’s been hanging out in her native Denmark.
Her baby Thurgood was as GORGEOUS and sweet as his Mom (and born two weeks before Hudson).  Someday they will meet, as must all people’s kids who once lived in my old loft.
So great to see Gro and Julio again, joined by Adrian.

And then off with Adrian to hang out and dine with Ashley and John where I’m staying the night who have a super-stylish, art-filled pad and are beyond great hosts (just like my friend Nicky on Friday night.)
I don’t have a photo of them, mostly because they have a self-timed tradition involving guests and a chair and ten exposures and well … you really need to stay with them to get the full experience.
And now –– after a day of delightful reunions with old friends and meetings with amazing babies … time for sleep before my flight back to SF tomorrow.
What a fantastic weekend –– and I’m proud to report –- except for bringing along my manuscript for editing which NEVER came close to happening, an utter triumph of Packing Economy mixed with Maximum Friendship Experiences.
