This morning, Belle and I prepped for the arrival of LLS & Philip –- shopping for Canadian delicacies at Whole Foods, etc. –– and then a mini-jump rope session, before heading off to Stinson Beach to celebrate my college roommate’s birthday.
That drive is unbelievably spectacular, almost too gorgeous to be real.
Several hours spent with extended friends and family.  Highlights include Belle once again bewitching both grandmothers and a flock of 8 year old schoolgirls to give her an endless supply of ribs –– seriously I think she had about 20 servings –– and a brief ocean swim for her.
We traveled back along with the gorgeous sunset, to prepare for LLS and Philip’s arrival and then a fantastic pizza reunion on Telegraph Hill.
Before they arrived, however, I took a brief walk around the block with Belle and stumbled on a handful of books that seemed dropped from the heavens for me. Specifically, I had been thinking “if my ideal scenario manifests in the near to immediate future regarding the novel sale –– now out to a bunch of publishers –– exactly WHAT do I do with that windfall of cash?”  And the universe delivered the perfect book for me, on top of a book that I oddly do not already own:  IE, “Investing for Dummies” nestled on top of THE ART BOOK seems a pretty clear sign of the universe’s intent.  (And I’m not kidding;  these books were just on the street during our 5 minute short walk.)
OK, I get it, Universe -– and THANK YOU already!
