At some point –- the details are irrelevant –– I stopped blogging daily after doing so for over a year and a half.
And … I found that it was about a billion times harder to write once a week then it was to write every day.
Once a week felt like everything had to be more MONUMENTAL.
More “SIGNIFICANT.”
Weighty.
There was a little bit of discipline involved but when I wrote every day, it was pretty straightforward and carefree.
Less was at stake (although nothing is ever really at stake.)
So I’m coming back to writing daily(ish).
And all I can say is … STOP EVERYTHING and go see Elaine Stritch in SHOOT ME like I did last night with Adrian.
I don’t know how I’ve gotten along this far in life without this movie + AT LIBERTY (which I may enjoy even more since it’s pure Elaine (plus you can watch it again and again in your apartment on YouTube.)
So I suggest you start IMMEDIATELY.
Trust me: afterwards, everything will be INFINITELY EASIER!
