I needed to swing by H&M today to get a few things for my Cancun trip –– like white t-shirts etc. –– and in the pile of things I bought, I realized the clerk had forgotten to remove one of the security dye tags they have to discourage shoplifters.
The thing is that it’s an $9.95 t-shirt –– and my parking was $7, plus the trip takes about an hour start to finish. Is it even worth it … ?
I googled variations of “removing security tags” to see what the most informed shoplifters had to say and more or less succeeded (although there’s a small tear from my efforts.
In so many ways I’m going past security –– ie, unsure where Belle and I will be living in May –– but unlike an hour and $7 parking to secure my $9.95 t-shirt, it is so worth it.
