So It’s Come To This

My new assistant needs an assistant –– at least one.
Things are so crazy busy –– especially with Mercury in Retrograde –– that he’s going to start pre-interviewing interns for me for some of the social media stuff re: the novel’s release in June.
In other such news …
I got the copy-edit of the manuscript back today and although I think the nameless editor did a thorough job, rather than telling me I needed to globally replace double spaces after periods, they simply track-edited the manuscript for pretty much every sentence.
Do you understand what that means?
They’ve given me a 375 page manuscript page where every single sentence has an edit regarding the space.   IE, dozens of space edits a page.  (IE, that’s insane).
As if that were not enough, my website vanished for an hour today leaving me in a minor panic –– I knew it wasn’t hacked but that we were installing new plug-ins, and just hoped/trust it was a wacky side-effect … but still …
I just hope my assistant’s assistant is up to all the tasks that lie ahead, particularly as for 10 days in April I’ll be running things virtually in Cancun and then another 10 in NYC.
Alright — enough blogging. Time to back everything up yet again (just in case Mercury in retrograde gets crankier.)
This photo –– which I almost posted as the Featured Image by accident –- is from my superstar stylist friend Emily‘s blog. And this is exactly who I need for and what I need my assistant (or his assistant) to be doing for me, round the clock, starting NOW!
