Before turning my phone and computer on, it makes all the difference if I:
a. Align / Meditate / Breathe
b. Write
c. Exercise –- and today this was some real yoga on my mat.
Honestly, if I can just commit to doing this … EVERYTHING will work out fine.
Today did those a, b, c’s –– including working extensively on the board for the new play:
And then picked up Sarah at the airport –– her article is appearing in Monday’s NY Times HERE ––and then worked some more. [My featured image is a snap of our parking space at the San Francisco Airport –– something I do since I can never quite remember where I’ve parked.]
In between all this, I brought the cottage to an new, more intense level of clean –– floors swept, and then vacuumed, and then dry swiffered, and then wet swiffered –– than I have experienced. [Did this while listening to my old Yale chum Neil Burger’s commentary on his film The Illusionist which I loved.]
Anyway, Serious Procrastination or Intense Alignment work –– I’ll let you decide.
But then watched the last two Twilight films –– not the finale currently in theaters –– and resumed work on the play.
Honestly, starting the day “right” made all the difference.
Act II is looking much less vague and free-form….and the floors are impeccably clean.
Can I ask for anything more?
