Last night after I dropped LLS off at the airport, there was an impossible parking situation on Telegraph Hill, and rather than going to the sure-fire location where there are always spaces, but it’s a major hike at midnight … I opted for a space that expired at 7 am (or else you’re towed and it’s $650 to recover your car.)
All of that would have been fine, except that I had one of those Restless Nights were I kept waking up, aware that I had to move the car before 7 OR ELSE.
Around 6 I decided I might as well see what the situation outside was like, and sure enough there were many early morning spaces available.
This did throw off my whole sleep rhythm for the day and I felt I never quite recovered.
I did manage, however, between visits to Acre’s One Year Anniversary party and a client call, to do some extensive work on the foam core board for plotting the new play. I’m obsessed now with organizing and color coding plot points.
I also keep thinking of more fun plays to read –– THE MARRIAGE OF BETTE AND BOO by Christopher Durang and THE MISTAKES MADELINE MADE by Elizabeth Meriwether both arrived today –– along with some classic screwball comedies I’m dying to rewatch.
One other highlight of the Acre Party –- although I’ve been totally off sugar for a month –– is that they had the cutest mini-cupcake bar I’ve ever seen. Thank God SK(W) and JW(K) were around for me to share.
And now –– after one more stab at filling some gaping holes in the second act –– to sleep ASAP, knowing my parking is secure until tomorrow’s (relatively) early yoga client.
