Today began with Val picking me up on her scooter to attend my first SF Rusty Wells yoga class. [Technically, I took a workshop of his about 8 years ago in NYC. so not my first class.]
Riding on the back of a scooter was super-fun; it’s like a cross between my convertible and walking, more or less.
I thoroughly enjoyed Rusty’s class and have massive comments about the experience that I don’t quite have the time or inclination to write it all about here.
Returning home to napping and re-reading SAVE THE CAT re: story structure, followed by MAJOR play structuring, and then a client call.
Felt compelled to run out and buy a large piece of black foam core board at Artists and Craftsmen minutes before they closed –– Belle caused a sensation at the store, and the staff volunteered to entertain her at the front desk and give her a tour while I shopped (I’m not kidding) –– so that tonight I could begin plastering all my plot points together.
I’m a total convert to Final Draft Pro, but honestly there’s something about the visceral experience of plotting that still requires a tactile experience of index cards, sharpies, foam core, and thumb tacks.
Just ask Belle.
And now … back to saving yet another cat!
