There’s No Accounting

Well, actually there is.
Completing things for my 2011 tax extension for Monday, October 15th and it’s proving surprisingly easy.
I am a great collector of receipts,  and –– since it seems I only dine or hang out or travel with people with whom I have projects –– EVERY breath I take is a deduction.
After the departure of LLS yesterday –– after a joint 30 minutes of jump rope + a game of Transformation –– it was truly time to swing back into “work mode.”
I did like using the ipad to construct my “to do” list, with item #1 being “Take Belle to Beach” (she insisted on that).
And I’m going to try again later –– not tonight since I’ve spent a few hours adding up receipts –– using the iPad for this blog.
The thing is though, that I type 90+ words a minute and so that kind of keyboard feels like I’ve been hobbled.  I don’t know how anyone who can really type fluidly can flow with it (sigh) …
In other news, figuring out exactly what prep I need before moderating that panel at the National Science Writer’s Conference this month, one where my strongest sales pitch is that working with me provides ACCOUNTABILITY.
[If they only knew, I say, as I crack open yet another bottle of red wine and try and see if my bar tab from the New Zealand cruise is truly as tax deductible as my Bikram membership.)
