Aljandro González Iñarritu’s film 21 GRAMS is entitled because of a 21st century physician’s research that the human body weighed 21 grams less after death (roughly 3/4 of an ounce). IE, that’s what the soul must weigh.
Oddly, today in Bikram, my before and after weight were exactly 3 pounds different. [If there are 16 ounces in a pound, thus 48 ounces for 3 pounds, equaling what … 60 times my soul’s weight?]
All of this is meant as testimony to its utter and entire irrelevance, because my end weight between today and yesterday was 0.5 pounds more, caused by my “Cheat Day” on Sunday of 2 slices of pizza + 2 beers for dinner (Delicious!). [Or has my soul simply gained spiritual insight/mass?]
Today had two AWESOME client calls, along with some prep for tomorrow’s telecall about writing from one’s own life.
And another great highlight of the day was meeting –– via my secret Money Group friend Andrea Beaudoin –– a totally lovely and inspiring Swiss author, Milena Moser –– who is profoundly cool, yet understated and totally chic and fantastic, and probably the #1 bestselling author in Switzerland via her last 17 books (the first 3 self-published.) Oddly, none are really available in English (yet), and her website has some wacky English translations via The Google –– but if you speak German, dive right in. She was a total delight.
Oh, and by the way, Susan and I are now officially on the Alaska cruise in August –– let the adventures continue!
And now, watching some bestselling author videos via Steve Harrison which are both inspiring and horrifying –– sorry but I’ve got to be honest or I’ll lose/gain even more soul weight –– before perhaps one chocolate treat I’ll procure on Belle’s last walk before both of us settle down to sleep.
[FYI, I do have a theory that Belle and my souls have merged, and since Bikram is perhaps the only place I do not travel with her, this may, in fact account for ANY scale discrepancies I encounter.]
