So many strange ups and downs today.
Awoke with just enough time to quickly walk Belle and race to Bikram.
I realized I have been feeling a little over-stretched in my lower back and I don’t know if it’s coming from my Olympian efforts in class, or the jump roping, or walking up and down the hill, or sitting too long working, or simply my subconscious trying to distract me before finishing this rewrite.
And it’s also possible I may be just a little under the weather as the class literally felt cool to me at times, even though glances at the thermometer revealed it to be 115.4 degrees.  In fact, usually I’m enormously grateful for the cool breeze of air whenever the teacher cracks open the door for a second or a student exits the room fleetingly, but today I was actually resenting it, feeling that the breeze was truly arctic.  [Does this mean I’m feverish or chilled?]
Another startling experience was that while driving my car began making a weird sound that alarmed me, although functioning quite properly.  I had the intuition to drive a little further, and sure enough it completely healed itself and was absolutely fine.  [I did notice that the C / H lever was all the way down, something I hadn’t ever seen before, and that 10 minutes of driving brought it up to the middle where it seemed happy and silent.]
And just now, attempting to write this blog, my site had vanished entirely [“cannot connect with database” was the error message], forcing me to call Hostmonster which revealed that there was a problem with the server which would be fixed in ten minutes.
And sure enough –– here we are, back in bizness.
I like the idea of ten minute problems (and cars healing themselves).
I do think I may be thrown off by this, the final rewrite.  [Note:  I am aware there are 10,000+ studio rewrites in my future;  I just mean the final rewrite before my producer and I start sending the script out.]
Some of the changes will take exactly five minutes, but a few are more daunting –– or at least they just feel that way.
It is, however, quite possible that like my VANISHED website or my HUMMING car engine, of my chilly perception of 115.4 degrees, that the situation will miraculously self-correct.
[Or maybe, like in some Hollywood version of a Grimm’s Fairy Tale, I will wake up tomorrow and the necessary scenes will have rewritten themselves.]
Here’s hoping.
