Condense Me (please)

Yesterday morning, I treated myself to finally visiting Taniya and Michael’s beautiful baby, Tara, prompted by Marie Carter, one of Belle’s very best friends arriving in San Francisco to do the same.
Tara is a GREAT baby –– falling asleep in my arms and letting me hold her for over an hour while being totally serene.
There’s something just so fantastic about holding a happy infant.  Nothing is better for the soul.  Somehow, they make it seem that everything else will fall into place.
And then, I returned home to continue cutting and cutting the screenplay.
When I went to bed last night it was at 204 pages –– still 84 pages too long –– but I only recently remembered it started out at 305.
[Meaning I’ve lost 1/3 of its starting mass; Or given an initial goal of cutting 185 pages, I’ve cut 101 or that I’m 58% done.]
Note:  I actually have no idea of the interest rates on any of my credit cards or bank accounts;  I’m only obsessed with numbers in this particular process since I think it’s helping me focus on my goal.
Last night, I had an editing dinner break at Plant but forgot Belle’s service dog outfit.  It’s OK, since she’s better known there than I am, and without her vest, she’s definitely more playful which helped her score 3 offerings of chicken from the manager, versus her usual one.
Things are working out for both of us.
I’ve put a few “notes to self” in the script about passages I’m just too weary to tackle during any particular editing round, but don’t want to forget.
Somehow, there’s something vaguely amusing about this, kind of like “DRINK ME” in ALICE IN WONDERLAND –– except there’s no potion involved, just a ruthless magic marker.
