While sorting through papers –– I wish I could say I were writing –– I saw through Susan’s window the true phenomenon of the parrots of Telegraph Hill.  Kind of amazing to watch them interact with the downstairs neighbors.  (You have to make sure you click on and expand photo so you can really see all those proverbial “birds in the hand” and several flying mid-air.)
A major achievement in treking to Staples for a new filing box and folders and then to the Apple Store for a new printer.
One of my minor summer miscalculations was mailing several overworked boxes of papers and files and office supplies and my printer.  I realized that for the cost of the mailing, I could pretty much have just gotten a new printer at the local Apple Store and vowed not to make that mistake again.
Setting up my last printer in LA somehow felt like it took an hour or more with snafus and wireless connections.  This one took 10 minutes (or maybe I’m just better aligned.)
Speaking of which, went real estate shopping with Sarah and found an ideal apartment that I loved.  I also particularly liked it because they kept describing it as “Edwardian.”
A mini-round of the board game Transformation followed, where Sarah and I both drew the same setback card.
Now there are 100 setback cards in the deck and I’m no math major but I think the odds against that are … well high, right?  Like 1 in 100?  1 in 200?
For me, another  clear message from the Universe about dealing with the pregnant pause.
I also drew the Angel of Gratitude, perhaps the best way I can think of to fill that tricky pause energy.
So much easier to remember the message when two people draw the same one from the deck.  (Clever Universe!)

  1. Edwardian…love it.
The chances of you drawing that card are 1 in 100. The chances of Sarah drawing that card are also 1 in 100. The chance of you both drawing that *specific* card, 1 in 10,000.
Looking forward to your book signings!
