Attended Jasmine’s class this am per her request since it was being filmed for the website. Fun to attend and delighted that I’ve still got a fully bloomed Peacock Pose in my repertoire.
Pic not of me but of Yoga Colleague Simon Park in the one-handed Peacock variation –– which I’ve sort of done but not for a photo shoot — and am inspired to attempt anew:
Must mention that I LOVE the front desk Karmi Elissa who loves Belle and lets her sit behind the desk while I’m in class. It’s like an answer to a father’s prayers.
Equally delighted to realize that I just have to head east after class and in 1.4 miles I’m at a Whole Foods. Pangs of missing Adrian from our daily Whole Food shopping in Naples this summer, but inspired to stock up on fresh produce nonetheless.
Belle and I dove deep into our promotional worlds that afternoon. Email blast for the San Francisco signings (which given my film roots, I keep calling “screenings” which confuses everyone.)
Designed a postcard as well, although could not figure out how to apply my online credit from Vistaprint and created a Facebook event.
Became re-obsessed with Lillias White singing “Brotherhood of Man” and endlessly listened to her riffing while walking Belle. (“Oh that noble feeling…) Such amazing sass — even in the nightclub version where she says to the crowd — “Can you hear me back there…Good, ‘cuz I can hear you!”
Missing Susan — she’s at MAJOR b’day party for a self-help pioneer who could, if we’re being honest, be doing a lot more to heal MY life — but happy to be a bit more spread out in her space with my paper arsenal.
And late last night, although I’m sad that a fellow teacher has some illness in her family, I’ve been asked to sub five more classes this week at the Lotus.
Amazing!
