Edward Vilga has had 8 books published, both fiction and non-fiction.

 

They have have been translated into over a dozen languages.

As an academic writer, Edward wrote Acting Now: Conversations on Craft and Career (Rutgers University Press).

Films

Edward wrote and directed the feature film Dead Broke (Warner Brothers) starring Paul Sorvino, John Glover, Justin Theroux, Jill Hennessy, and Tony Roberts.

 

In a joint venture with the TriBeCa Film Center, Microsoft and iFilm, Dead Broke became the first film to debut simultaneously on the Internet and the big screen.

 

Beyond this, Edward Vilga has had six screenplays optioned by producers (including Academy Award-winners), twice been a finalist for the Sundance Lab, and has written and directed short films that have screened at dozens of international festivals.

Plays

Most recently, Edward Vilga directed and co-wrote the play Miracle in Rwanda with writer/performer Leslie Lewis.

Miracle in Rwanda has toured the world with more than 150 performances over 6 continents.

In 2019, Miracle In Rwanda had a six week Off-Broadway run.

The play was selected as the official artistic representation at the United Nations for the 25th Commemoration of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

Previously, Edward’s play Blue was nominated for the National Short Play Award, and (in a past life), he produced Obie-winning theater.
